Disney Dreamlight Valley has confirmed on Twitter that today’s bug fixes may take up to two hours to deploy to each device that has the game installed as it rolls out. While some past Disney Dreamlight Valley updates included content such as the one that added Missions in Uncharted Space, a large chunk of the patches are released to address bugs and glitches reported by players exploring the game at their leisure. Disney Dreamlight Valley was released in early access earlier this year to high praise that compared it to games like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, and hotfixes to these bugs may help the Gameloft title reach similar heights over time.

Like previous Disney Dreamlight Valley updates, this patch will make some intrusive or game-breaking parts of the Disney life simulator more seamless to make Missions in Uncharted Space compare to other quests more appropriately. According to the patch notes, the quest called A Deal With Ursula will now allow players to complete it by placing four crystals on a pedestal, and The Illumination can similarly be finished by placing a blanket fort in the house. Unlike these two quests, Disney Dreamlight Valley developers continue to monitor issues surrounding the objective Restoring the Sunstone which they note as a persistent bug even beyond the December 16 patch.

The December 16 Disney Dreamlight Valley update provides a variety of stability and optimization improvements across the platforms that it’s available on, but the giant boba tea that some players were coming across have been taken away. Item spawns have been fixed for the Toy Story-themed quest You’re My Favorite Deputy so that they don’t clip into nearby stationary objects or outside the map, while Buzz Lightyear’s house has become easier to exit after some adjustments. The Mystery of Stolen Socks with Donald Duck will let Disney Dreamlight Valley fans proceed to the next stage of the quest after players successfully clear the trash in the area which is one of the hiccups that fans have reported.

As many Disney Dreamlight Valley players expressed their enthusiasm for the fixes to general gameplay and the Missions in Uncharted Space Toy Story quest line, some pointed to technical performance issues suffered on their platforms. Because several fixes included in the December 16 patch are based on fan feedback, many Disney Dreamlight Valley players also utilized the opportunity to show developers their own problems inhibiting their gameplay.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
