One of the most enchanting features is being able to interact with the iconic and classic Disney franchise characters. That being said, Disney Dreamlight Valley in its present form is missing a few fan favorites and essential characters in their vast bank of usable franchises.

Update on January 17, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: Disney Dreamlight Valley is going strong and occasionally introduces new characters to the game. However, there seem to be a couple of lingering questions about a few bizarre areas in some Biomes that may be related to certain unreleased Disney characters. A great feature that Disney Dreamlight Valley introduced is the ability to live an everyday life, not just with protagonists, but also the villains. So, it would be amazing if more wicked and famous villains came to live in the valley.

10 Darkwing Duck

A classic fan favorite from the 1990s, Darkwing Duck is like the superhero cousin of Donald Duck. First appearing in his own animated series on the Disney Channel back in 1991, Darkwing Duck received three seasons, merchandise, and even a comic book series. Currently, the show is in line for a Disney Plus reboot from the ever busy Seth Rogan.

The addition of Darkwing Duck to the current roster would be one to please classic Disney Channel fans. Drake Mallard and his friends Launchpad McQuack and Gizmoduck could definitely spice things up in the kingdom and bring some superhero based quests and themed items to decorate with or wear.

9 Nemo

The most famous clown fish in the world, Nemo, is nowhere to be seen at the moment in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Bringing Nemo to the realm would most definitely go over well with Disney fans of all ages.

First appearing in his very own film in 2003, titled Finding Nemo, the cutest clown fish in the ocean warmed hearts worldwide. Nemo could bring his famous friend Dory, who even received her own spin off movie Finding Dory. Giving players the quest to find Nemo by fishing in various spots could bring some fun to the full release.

8 Aladdin

How Disney Dreamlight Valley launched without the most famous street kid who became Prince in all of Agrabah is a mystery. Aladdin debuted in the classic Disney movie Aladdin in 1992, later receiving a live action remake in 2019. An animated series of the same name and two sequels to the original movie were also brought to us by Disney, and are well-loved by fans young and old.

One of the most beloved characters in Disney history, Aladdin has already been listed as a potential future DLC character. Rightly so, as Aladdin with his entourage of Abu the feisty monkey and the ever popular genie could bring some fun and magic carpet based antics to Disney Dreamlight Valley.

7 Winnie The Pooh

The honey-eating resident bear from the Hundred Acre Wood should be on the top of the list for future characters to join the roster of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Although Winnie The Pooh was originally a set of children’s books written by A.A. Milne, Disney now owns the franchise and could bring the various toys of Christopher Robin to the game in a DLC.

A wonderful cast of characters could accompany Pooh Bear if he joined the roster. Tigger the hyperactive tiger, Pooh’s best friend Piglet, and many others could join the fun with quests and customization items to unlock.

6 Luke Skywalker

Bringing over Luke Skywalker or any of the Star Wars cast could be a game changer for Disney Dreamlight Valley. Having a whole region based on Star Wars could add a completely different element to the game.

Having a region based on Tatooine or Coruscant, even the forest moons of Endor with the native Ewoks, could be a possibility. Each region could have different themed quests, like cleaning up Coruscant or even competing in a podrace. The possibilities are endless if Disney decides to open up the gates to welcome characters beyond the Disney classics.

5 Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella

Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella are Cinderella’s evil stepmother and stepsisters, respectively. It is possible that these three iconic villains could be the upcoming characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley. That’s because, in the Forgotten Lands, one of the more mysterious and gloomy Biomes in the game, there is a pumpkin-shaped house. Although the latter is usually linked with Cinderella, the general atmosphere of the Forgotten Lands, which is dark and gloomy, throws away any idea of a princess living in said Biome.

Disney Dreamlight Valley might not add all three villains together, but the pumpkin house could belong to a Cinderella character.

4 Thor Odinson

If the door to other franchises has been opened, then next to Star Wars, the Marvel franchise could also spice things up in the valley. Introducing Thor would be the way to start bringing over Marvel characters, along with the mythical realm of Asgard.

Using Asgard as a starting point, players could have plenty of fun doing quests with Thor and company in Asgard. Perhaps even Thor’s brother Loki could show up as a new villain, which would bring something new to the table. Loki, complete with shape-shifting abilities, could impersonate any Disney character and lead to deep quest lines filled with twists and turns.

3 Simba

Thanks to the Scar update in Disney Dreamlight Valley, the possibilities are endless concerning The Lion King’s Realm. However, Scar was already in the Sunlit Plateau, but other iconic characters like Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba are nowhere to be found.

Adding Simba would definitely be an interesting addition since his Friendship Quests would definitely include the importance of family, the meaning of the circle of life, and many more vital lessons taught by Mufasa. It’s also really exciting to think about Scar and Simba’s interaction which each other, especially if the former thought his nephew is stealing the Sunlit Plateau away from him.

2 Lightning McQueen

Disney Pixar created a joy-filled world of living automobiles in the 2006 animated movie, Cars. Following Cars, the successful movie received two sequels, a set of short movies, and two spin off movies based on the planes from the series.

Lightning McQueen is the star of the show, and he knows it. The fastest red streak this side of the planet could be great fun to pair up with and receive quests from. Lightning’s best friend Mater, the happy-go-lucky tow truck, would also make for a perfect quest giver and companion.

1 Maleficent

There exist many theories concerning the green flames scattered around the Forgotten Lands. While it’s not confirmed or discussed by the developer, the cause of the green flames could be Maleficent’s doings. The wicked character from Sleeping Beauty is always seen casting curses and hexes while surrounded by green flames (even her dragon form at the end of the movie blows green flames).

If Maleficent is ever introduced as an evil character, there would probably be a Friendship Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valleythat helps players upgrade their Watering can to extinguish the green flames. There isn’t really a house that seems to belong to Maleficent in the Forgotten Lands, so maybe Dreamers have to bring her from another Realm, which opens the possibility of a Sleeping Beauty Realm that possesses both Aurora and Prince Phillip.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
