Updated on January 15, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: In the beginning, not only there was nothing known about Ravens, but they also didn’t exist in Disney Dreamlight Valley. If by any chance players manage to unlock the Forgotten Lands, which costs 15,000 Dreamlight, there would be no critters. That’s because Raven debuted in the Scar update in Disney Dreamlight Valley. While trying to feed these creatures, Dreamers will notice that nothing seems to satisfy Ravens. Turns out this bird needs special food to be approached. Keep in mind that there is a variety of Ravens in the Forgotten Lands and some appear only at a specific time of the day.
All Critters And Their Favorite Food In Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are a total of eight critters in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The following table lists them as well as their favorite food and location:
To get the favorite food of each creature in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players can try these methods:
Peanuts are bought from Chez Remy restaurant. Carrots are purchased from Goofy’s Stall in Peaceful Meadow. Seaweed is obtained by fishing at random spots in Disney Dreamlight Valley in Dazzle Beach. Blueberry is harvested from wild crops in Dazzle Beach or the Forest of Valor. White Sturgeon is a rare fish caught by fishing the sparkling red ripple in Frosted Heights. Lobsters are also a rare kind of seafood obtained by fishing a sparkling red ripple in Glade of Trust. Houseleek Flowers are found scattered in Sunlit Plateau
5-Star Recipes are numerous in Disney Dreamlight Valley and their ingredients vary in rarity. Dreamers don’t have to find the rarest meal and feed it to Ravens. Most of these dishes give an insane amount of Energy which is more beneficial to the players than the critter. So a simple 5-Star will get the job done. On a side note, feeding Ravens other rarities does work, but the critters won’t reward anything since it’s not their favorite food. Here’s a complete list of all available 5-Star recipes.
How To Approach Critters In Disney Dreamlight Valley
To approach critters in Disney Dreamlight Valley and gain new companions, players need to follow these steps for each creature.
Squirrel
Squirrels are friendly creatures that will interact with players first. If by any chance they run away, it means that they’ve been fed before on the same day.
Bunny
Bunnies are skittish creatures but are still reasonably easy to approach. They’ll run away upon seeing the players, so keep chasing them until they stop and become approachable.
Sea Turtle
The moment Saviors come close to a Sea Turtle, it will hide in its shell. Just wait until the turtle comes out to give it the food.
Raccoon
It’s a bit difficult to approach a Raccoon since it’s a very sketchy critter. The best method is to walk towards it slowly while its head is down. Take slow, steady steps and stop once the Raccoon becomes alerted. Repeat the same steps until the Approach option is available.
Fox
Just like Bunnies, Foxes love a good chase. Follow them around and then interact once they stop.
Crocodile
Use the same method as Raccoons for the Crocodiles; slow, steady steps when the head is down and stop when they become alerted.
Sunbird
These lovely critters are very approachable, very much like the Squirrels.
Raven
Luckily, Ravens are very easy to approach as players just need to stand still, and the critter will fly in circles above them then descend slowly and wait.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
