There are currently two different special editions of Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny available for pre-order from NIS America. The physical edition of Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is called the Unrelenting Edition and can be found at select retailers. The Limited edition of Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is available exclusively on NIS America and features a number of extra bonuses.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny Unrelenting Edition
The default physical retail copy for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is called the Unrelenting Edition and includes a few pre-order bonuses. Fans who pre-order the Unrelenting Edition will receive a digital download code for the “Defiance of Dissonance” soundtrack, a mini art book titled “Behind the Seams” and a reversible cover sheet for the game case. The Unrelenting Edition of Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny will cost $59.99 USD ($79.99 CAD).
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny Limited Edition
On the other hand, fans of Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny looking for more pre-order bonuses can opt for the Limited Edition. This exclusive edition includes upgraded items from the Unrelenting Edition including a physical version of the “Defiance of Dissonance” soundtrack on CD, a hardcover edition of the “Behind The Seams” art book, and a steelbook for the game. A number of unique bonuses are also available in the Limited Edition including the “Stitched Together” pin set featuring Zed, Bieko, and Cerberus, a 28" x 40" “Roll Call” cloth poster, and a collector’s box.
The Limited Edition of Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is available exclusively on the NIS America site for the North American and European regions and costs $99.99 USD or £74.99. The European pre-order site for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny mentions that the Unrelenting Edition will be inside the Limited Edition so this will likely be the case for American pre-orders as well though it isn’t clarified on the American site.
Digital Pre-order Bonuses and Switch Exclusivity
Currently, Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny doesn’t offer any digital pre-order bonuses and it isn’t up for pre-order yet on the Nintendo eShop. Based on the release of Disgaea 5, pre-order bonuses might be limited since the only bonus at launch was a bunny suit DLC for Seraphine when players ordered from GameStop. Regardless, the DLC eventually made its way to the complete edition of Disgaea 5 so players shouldn’t worry too much about missing out.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny seems to be a Nintendo Switch exclusive for now so it’s unlikely that players will receive bonuses like the digital artbook from the Steam edition of Disgaea 5 Complete. While Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny was launched on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan, its worldwide release is limited to the Nintendo Switch and there are no signs of a PS4 release or PC port. Fans may see other pre-order bonuses down the line when a complete edition is released for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny but for now, they will have to decide between the Unrelenting and Limited editions.
